Youth Mission Opportunities

Mission Academy

Tulsa, OK

March 15-18, 2026

Registration opens in January.
Who: Current 6th-8th graders.
Cost: TBA
Length: 3 Nights / 4 Days
Focus and Purpose: Mission Academy is First Methodist’s training ground for student missions. It is many students’ first overnight mission experience and the place where they learn what it means to go into the world for Jesus. It helps students connect with ways to learn to serve others for Jesus right here in Tulsa.
During Mission Academy, we want each student to ask:
  • Do I make a difference when I serve?
  • What gifts and talents has God given me to further the Kingdom of God?
  • Where do I fit into God’s plan for this city and this world?

This year, both junior high and senior high students will travel together to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Throughout the week, students will serve in a variety of settings—from community outreach projects and food distribution to children’s programs and neighborhood beautification—learning how every act of service can become an act of worship. Evening sessions and small-group reflections will help students connect their experiences to Scripture, deepen their understanding of what it means to be “sent,” and grow in unity as a team. This trip is designed to help students see beyond themselves, build lasting
friendships, and develop a heart for serving others both at home and around the world.
