Discipleship

Discipleship is a journey of intentional decisions leading to maturity in your relationship with Jesus so that you become more like Him in your attitudes, focus and ultimately behavior. It’s not something that happens by accident or overnight, and it can’t be completed in a six-week class. This is a lifelong commitment to follow God with your whole self and to both learn from and eventually teach others about how to follow Him.

Adult Grow Groups are small group discipleship communities designed to help you become grounded in the word, alive in the Spirit, and sent on mission through a weekly gathering focused on the Bible, the soul, and the response.

Our adult Sunday school classes are where being grounded in the Word becomes a reality. Many classes spend their Sunday mornings focused on deep biblical teaching, sharing their lives, and praying together.

Sunday School Classes

Asbury Covenant | YFC 207 (Level 2)

We are a welcoming class of mostly recent empty-nesters, walking through a new season of life together. Our gatherings are filled with friendship, prayer, and a love for diving deep into God's Word. We enjoy a variety of social activities that strengthen our relationships with both God and one another. In this class, you'll find encouragement, community, and a place to grow in faith.

Aspen | YFC 202 (Level 2)

Aspen is a group of believers committed to walking together and growing in Christ. We are families and individuals, many with children ranging in age from babies to college. Our group is small enough that most feel comfortable sharing their thoughts in class, but large enough that you would also be at ease just listening. We're big on serving, so you'll see us throughout the church as helpers with children and youth, ushers, greeters, and volunteers in many other ways.

Builder's Class | MSLC 232 (Level 2)

This vibrant group of men and women in their 70s and 80s shares life together with joy, prayer, and laughter. We love learning God's Word and finding ways to put it into action through missions and outreach. Our friendships extend beyond Sunday mornings, with regular fellowship and encouragement throughout the week. In this class, you'll find a welcoming place to grow in faith and in community.

Carpenter Class | MSLC 231 (Level 2)

This is a caring community where friendships grow deep through prayer, shared meals, and time spent together. We gather often for supper clubs, socials, and small groups that strengthen both our faith and our bonds with one another. With hearts turned outward, we joyfully serve side-by-side in mission fundraising and community outreach. Here, you'll find a place to belong, be encouraged, and make a difference together.

Covenant Seekers | Parker Hall (Level 1)

A warm, pleasant group of mature adults who love singing and snacking every Sunday. We are Christians in earnest who support and pray for each other and actively participate in various ministries of the church. In our class sessions we are not afraid to express opinions but very much enjoy learning more about the Word and being encouraged weekly to be more Christ-like. Zoom connection is provided every Sunday for those who cannot be with us in person. It is always a delight to meet new friends and invite them to join our fellowship.

Logos | Parlor (Level 3)

Logos is a group of people of all ages and life stages who meet weekly to spend time in an in-depth study and discussion of God's Word. Jerry and Jane Malcolm are the facilitators of this group, which meets every week in the parlor and on Zoom.

New Community | Handbell Choir Room (Level 1)

The New Community Class is a class small in numbers but large on love! Lively discussion accompanies thoughtful teaching by people who care about God’s holy word. The class includes both married and single folks of all ages. The smaller group fosters a spirit of love and care. Prayer for each other’s needs happens at the end of every Sunday. One Accord | YFC 208 (Level 2)

We are a friendly class of adults moving toward retirement, growing together in faith and friendship. Our time together is rooted in Bible study, heartfelt prayer, and genuine care for one another. Monthly small groups and gatherings give us space to connect more deeply through fellowship and study. Here, you'll find a supportive community where you can belong, grow, and walk with others through life's transitions.

One in the Spirit | YFC 201 (Level 2)

We are a joyful, close-knit class committed to worship, prayer, and caring for one another. Our friendships grow as we gather not only on Sunday mornings but also for fun, fellowship, and missions on a regular basis. With a heart for serving, we work together in missions, service projects, and community outreach. In this class, you'll find people who love God, love each other, and love making a difference together. We host several large parties each year and quarterly smaller social gatherings.

Women's Class | MSLC 233 (Level 2)

We are a welcoming community of women from many walks of life--single, divorced, widowed, and married. Together, we share encouragement, friendship, and a safe place to grow in faith no matter our circumstances. We pray for one another, study God's Word, and walk alongside each other through life's ups and downs. In this class, you'll find understanding hearts, genuine connection, and hope in Christ.

Women of Grace | 3rd Floor Prayer Room (Level 3)

We are a close-knit group of women of all ages and stages who want to be inspired and encouraged to apply Biblical truths to their lives, share their stories, and pray together.

Young Adults | 4th Floor Commons (Level 4)

Our Young Adult Ministry is all about helping you grow as a fully committed follower of Jesus. We want to be people who know God’s Word, are alive with the power of the Holy Spirit, and live on mission wherever we go. Whether you're figuring out your next steps in life or just looking for real community, this is a place to get rooted, grow deeper, and live with purpose.
