Christmas Eve Services
Tuesday, December 24
Chaotic Christmas Eve Service
4:30 p.m. | First Kids Auditorium (12th & Boulder)
Our Chaotic Christmas Eve Service is where families gather to celebrate the birth of Christ in a messy and chaotic way that only families can. This short service (45-60 minutes) is tailored to families with young children. It's loud. It's messy. It's completely wonderful and one of the best ways to welcome Jesus into your heart on Christmas Eve. Please use the 12th Street entrance (between Main and Boulder) for this service.
Christmas Eve Communion
5:00 p.m. | Sanctuary (11th & Boulder)
Celebrate Holy Communion with your family on Christmas Eve in the beauty of the First Methodist sanctuary. This short service will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. and last no longer than 30 minutes. (Childcare services are not available for this service.) Please use the Main Street and Boulder entrances for this service.
Traditional Christmas Eve Service
7:00 p.m. | Sanctuary (11th & Boulder)
Our evening service of carols, communion, and candles is our most traditional service. It features the great hymns of Christmas, holy communion, and the passing of the candlelight. (Childcare services are not available for this service.) Please use the Main Street and Boulder entrances for this service.
Still: An Acoustic Christmas Eve Service
11:00 p.m. | Sanctuary (11th & Boulder)
Our late-night service invites you to step into the stillness of Christmas Eve. Featuring songs of the season, holy communion, and the passing of the candlelight, this service ends with the chiming of the midnight hour as we welcome the Christ child. (Childcare services are not available for this service.) Please use the Main Street and Boulder entrances for this service.
Family Worship
Sunday, December 29 | 10:30 a.m. | Sanctuary
On the Sunday after Christmas we'll join together as one family to sing carols and hear a message. This single service will be a great way for the family to worship together!
*Childcare is offered for this service for age three and under ONLY.
Candlelight Epiphany Service
Sunday, January 5, 2025 | 5:00 p.m. | Sanctuary
Our annual Candlelight Epiphany Service is where pageantry and light celebrate the arrival of the Magi and the end of the Christmas season. This service, now in its 78th year at First Methodist, features wonderful songs by the Cathedral Choir, soaring songs by some of our best featured soloists, and the presentation of the light.
*Childcare is offered for this service for age three and under ONLY. Doors open for childcare at 4:30 p.m.
