Afghan Hospitality Ministry

First Methodist Tulsa has made a long-term commitment to come alongside Afghan families to show our hospitality and assist them through the transition to living in the United States.

The Afghan Hospitality Ministry continues to grow! We are now supporting twelve families, with eleven Core Couples/Support Teams, representing 59 refugees plus several soon-to-arrive babies.

Families are learning to function independently by securing jobs, obtaining drivers licenses, purchasing cars, scheduling medical appointments, learning English, assuming more responsibility for their finances while children are acclimating to school.
